Cleaning the diffuser is a necessary step to ensure that oil buildup does not occur, which could interfere with proper operation. Periodically, it is recommended to perform a cleaning cycle. If you use the diffuser daily, a monthly cleaning cycle is recommended. To clean, follow these steps:

Fill the diffuser halfway with clean water.
Add 10 drops of white vinegar.
Run the diffuser for about 5 minutes to allow the water and vinegar mixture to disperse throughout the unit and clean it.
Completely drain the water from the diffuser.
Using a cotton swab soaked in vinegar, clean hard-to-reach areas and corners of the diffuser.
Rinse with clean water.
Use a dry cloth to wipe the diffuser until it is completely dry.
